This K&N Blackhawk intake replaces the factory airbox with a black powder-coated aluminum intake tube, layered DRYFLOW oil-free synthetic filter media, and an engineered steel heat shield to reduce intake temperatures from the engine bay. The DRYFLOW filter increases airflow while protecting the engine without the need for oiling. The kit is a bolt-on solution that can typically be installed in less than 90 minutes. Note: CARB status varies by part—some intakes are not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled vehicles in California; consult the product specifications for exact CARB approval (the 71 Series lists 2012–2015 as CARB approved for certain part numbers).
