Maintain optimal engine bay temperatures with the Jeep Renegade Turbo Thermal Blanket from SILA Concepts.
This state-of-the-art thermal blanket is specifically designed for the Jeep Renegade featuring the 1.4L Turbo engine. This blanket offers one of the most affordable yet effective upgrades for your turbocharged Jeep. By reducing the heat in the engine bay, you can achieve better radiator performance, cooler intake charges, and also extend the life of wire harnesses, fittings, and vacuum lines.
When you install this turbo thermal blanket, you can expect not only enhanced power and torque but also faster turbo spool time. The principle is simple: heat equals energy, and as the gas inside your turbine housing becomes hotter, it expands. Retaining this heat inside the turbine housing directs more pressure through the turbine wheel, thereby enhancing performance and increasing overall boost pressure while reducing the time to build pressure.

During the first few heat cycles, the thermal coating and material within the blanket will go through a curing process as they reach their operational temperature. It is completely normal for the blanket to emit some smoke during this time and leave a powdery residue. After a few cycles, the smoke will subside; simply wipe off any residue that may accumulate nearby. Please note that the blanket will lose some flexibility after the first few heat cycles as the material cures, so it should not be routinely removed once fitted to avoid damage.
